The Trans-SD semi-dry transfer cell allows fast, efficient, and economical blotting without buffer tank or gel cassettes. Features of the cell include: ? Gel Size up to 27 X 21 cm, accepts all kinds of present gels including proteomics large gels. ? Transfers in as little as 15–60 minutes ? Minimal buffer requirements ? Capacity to transfer multiple gels; gels may be placed side by side or stacked, with dialysis membrane separating gel sandwiches ? Single-step locking system for simple, speedy setup ? Platinum-coated titanium anode and stainless-steel cathode plate electrodes provide consistent and reliable transfers, durability, and long lifetime ? Anode platform rests on 4 springs, which enables the platform to accommodate various gel stack thicknesses and produces uniform pressure on the blotting sandwich during transfer ? Extra plastic templates required by other semi-dry blotters are unnecessary to prevent electrode short circuits ? Safety cover breaks the electrical current when lifted, preventing electrical shock.
